We believe in the “Design-Assist” Process, where we collaborate directly with the Owner and Architect during the design phase to reduce construction time and overall costs. We’ve developed solid partnerships with locally respected Architects Designers in the Northern Virginia and DC Metro Area. As a result, we can confidentially match your project with an Architect or Designer based on your desired home style. We are also able to confirm costs and availability for your finish materials with our preferred Purveyors and Trade Subcontractors. In addition to our design/build services, we also work with clients who have already identified and begun work with an Architect or Designer. Materials and Labor considerations are all considered during this collaboration. This proactive approach pays off in time and value and with fewer unexpected “surprises” once the actual construction phase begins.
Yes! In addition of sharing home plans from previous custom home builds, Curtis Ventures is in the process of developing several Custom Home Plans. Please inquire. We understand that many plans must be altered to accommodate lot shape and optimal views. We want to create a custom home for you to enjoy for years.
Curtis Ventures Custom Homes is always ready to work with the client in searching for land and reviewing potential lots for a new construction maximum footprint. Prior to obtaining a certified survey plat, Curtis Ventures will gladly offer a consultation and site visit with the client for general feasibility and set back requirements. We will build on your own lot utilizing your current foundation or pouring a new foundation.
Yes! Curtis Ventures Custom Homes has cultivated relationships with local banks and lenders. We will work with you through all the steps needed to obtain a construction loan.
This are the questions we hear again and again. To start, we consult in person with the client(s) for approximately one hour. The next steps will be designs, Architectural Drawings, Civil Engineering for site plans, Budgeting, and final sign offs prior to submitting for Permitting. While we wait for permits, interior design decisions will be finalized, and materials are pre-ordered. Within 2 weeks after permitting, we will perform a Pre-Construction meeting and confirm all selections. Once construction begins, Curtis Ventures Custom Homes typically promises completion and Certificate of Occupancy within 180 days after the concrete is poured.
In addition to assisting with all manufacturers’ warranties, we provide a full punch list service after the first 30 days of occupancy and another punch list visit at 11 months of occupancy. And, of course, we are always just a phone call away to take care of these touch-ups.
